Amaç – Bu çalışma, Türkiye’nin 2003 yılı sonrasında gerçekleştirmiş olduğu ekonomik büyümeye katılım bankalarının katkısının olup olmadığını araştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Yöntem – Büyüme ile katılım ve mevduat bankaları arasındaki uzun dönemli ilişkiyi tespit etmek için Johansen Eşbütünleşme testi kullanılmıştır. Uzun dönemli ilişkinin tespit edildiği durumda ilişkinin yönü Tamamen Değiştirilmiş En Küçük Kareler (FMOLS) yöntemi ile test edilecektir. Uzun dönemli ilişki bulunduğu taktirde nedensellik ilişkisini araştırmak için Granger Nedensellik testi kullanılacaktır. Araştırma için katılım ve mevduat bankalarının toplanan fonlar, kullandırılan krediler ve aktif verileri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular – Test sonuçlarına göre ekonomik büyüme ile katılım bankaları arasında uzun dönemli ilişki bulunamamıştır. En küçük kareler testinde elde edilen katsayılara göre mevduat bankalarının büyümeye katkısının daha fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Mevduat bankaları ile büyüme arasında çift taraflı nedensellik ilişkisi bulunmuştur. Tartışma – Bu sonuçlara göre mevduat bankaları ve ekonomik büyüme arasında birbirini etkileyen bir mekanizma mevcuttur. Özellikle mevduat banklarındaki krediler büyümeyi olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Katılım bankalarının bu mekanizma içindeki rolü zayıftır ve büyüme ile uzun dönemli ilişkisi yoktur.
This study aims to investigate whether the participating banks have contributed to the economic growth that Turkey has carried out after 2003. Method - Johansen Integration test has been used to identify the long-term relationship between growth and participation and deposit banks. If a long-term relationship is detected, the direction of the relationship will be tested by the fully modified Smallest Quarter (FMOLS) method. If there is a long-term relationship, the Granger Causal Test will be used to investigate the causal relationship. The funds collected by the participation and deposit banks, the loans used and the active data were used for the research. The findings - The results of the test showed that there was no long-term relationship between economic growth and participating banks. According to the percentages obtained in the smallest square test, it was found that deposit banks contributed more to growth. There has been a bilateral causal relationship between the deposit banks and growth. Debate - According to these findings, there is a mechanism that affects each other between deposit banks and economic growth. Loans in deposit banks have a positive impact on growth. The role of participating banks in this mechanism is weak and has no long-term relationship with growth.
