Amaç: Bu araştırma, hastanede yatarak tedavi gören çocukların annelerinde, durumluk ve sürekli anksiyete düzeyini ve çeşitli tıbbi ve sosyo–demografik faktörlerin bu düzeylere etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı olan araştırma 2016 yılında Erciyes Üniversitesi Çocuk Hastanesinde yapılmış; hastanenin çeşitli servislerinde yatmakta olan çocukların anneleri araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Annelerle (158 anne) hastane ortamında görüşülerek, sosyo–demografik anket formu ve Durumluk–Sürekli Anksiyete Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. İstatistiksel analizlerde p<0.05 değerleri anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan annelerin durumluk ve sürekli anksiyete puan ortalamaları sırasıyla, 49.0±8.6 ve 49.6±9.5’ dır. Hastalığı 30 günden daha uzun süredir devam eden çocukların annelerinde ve kendi sağlık durumunu ‘kötü’ olarak değerlendiren annelerde sürekli anksiyete düzeyi daha yüksek (p<0.05); çocuğunun hastalığı hakkında kendisine bilgi verildiğini ifade eden kadınlarda durumluk anksiyete düzeyi daha düşüktü (p<0.05). Çocuğun yaşı, cinsiyeti, hastaneye yatma sayısı ve süresi ile annenin yaşı, öğrenim düzeyi, çalışma durumu, çocuk sayısı ve ailenin ekonomik durumunun, durumluk ve sürekli anksiyete puanlarına etkisi önemli bulunmamıştır. (p>0.05). Sonuç: Hastanede yatan çocukların annelerinde durumluk ve sürekli anksiyete düzeyleri oldukça yüksektir. Çocuğun hastalık süresi uzadıkça, annenin sürekli anksiyete düzeyi yükselmekte, annelerin çocuğunun hastalığı hakkında bilgilendirilmesi ile durumluk anksiyeteleri azaltmakta, ancak sürekli anksiyete düzeyi etkilenmemektedir. Hastanede yatan çocukların annelerinin anksiyetesini azaltmak için, özellikle hastalık süresi uzun çocuklarda, çocuğun hastalığı ve yapılan işlemler hakkında etkili bilgilendirilme yapılması ve gerektiğinde profesyonel destek sağlanması yararlı olabilir.
Purpose: This study was conducted in order to determine the condition and constant anxiety levels and the effects of various medical and socio-demographic factors on these levels in the mothers of children who are being treated in the hospital. Method: Determining research was carried out in 2016 at Erciyes University Children's Hospital; the mother of children who were sleeping in the hospital's various services was taken into the research scope. By consulting the mothers (158 mothers) in the hospital environment, the socio-demographic survey form and the State-Continuous Anxiety Scale were applied. In statistical analyses, the p<0.05 values were considered meaningful. Results: The average status and constant anxiety scores of the mothers involved in the study are 49.0±8.6 and 49.6±9.5 respectively. In the mothers of children who suffered the disease for more than 30 days and in the mothers who considered their health "bad" the constant anxiety level was higher (p<0.05); in the women who said they were informed of their child's disease the state anxiety level was lower (p<0.05). The child’s age, gender, the number and duration of hospitalization and the mother’s age, educational level, working status, the number of children and the economic status of the family, the condition and the constant anxiety points have not been significantly affected. by p>0.05 The result: the condition and constant anxiety levels in the mothers of hospitalized children are quite high. As the child’s disease period extends, the mother’s constant anxiety level increases, the mother’s information about the child’s disease reduces the condition anxiety, but the constant anxiety level is not affected. In order to reduce the anxiety of the mothers of children in the hospital, it may be useful to effectively inform the child about the disease and the procedures carried out, and to provide professional support when necessary.
