Abstract:

Purpose: Preconnection breaks are a common pediatric injury. In the treatment of these fractures, it is intended to obtain the cooking by providing a proper rotating and rotating direction. This study is aimed at the re-evaluation of patients who have applied the intramedular elastic scratching (EAS) technique due to pediatric scratch. Tools and Methods: Pediatric Period Pre-Cool Break Due to September 2013 - December 2015 ADM Technique was applied, six months followed by 33 patients (27 men, 6 girls; 15 right, 18 left) was evaluated backward. The demographic data of the patients, the developing major complications and the radial inclination index and location were evaluated. Results: The average tracking time was 19.1 ± 8.8 months, the average age was 10.6 ± 3.5 years. In one case, a major complication developed in a total of 3 cases (%9) including reduction loss, refracture in 1 case and cooking delay in 1 case. In all the remaining cases, cooking was obtained with full pronation and supination. The average radial curve point was localized at 63.8 ± 5.4 percent of the radius length. The average radial curve index was 5.5 ± 1.2%. In all cases, the radial inclination index was within normal limits. The result: in the treatment of pediatric period precoal fractures, the IOC technique is a suitable treatment method with a high coating rate and an acceptable rate of complications.
