Abstract:

The Industry 4.0 revolution, which reflects the new world economy, reduces costs by increasing production speed and efficiency. With the Industry 4.0 revolution, block chain, information technologies (cloud, cyber security), big data (data mining), human machine interaction, object internet (IoT and sensors), robotics, virtual and augmented reality three-dimensional (3B) printers, artificial intelligence (deep learning) and similar new technologies are coming to the agenda. Thanks to these features, integration into Industry 4.0 and new technologies has become important and even mandatory for economic growth and development in a country. The aim of this study is to evaluate the economy of Turkey on the way of Industry 4.0. The study concluded that although the exports of medium and high-tech technology in Turkey showed a certain increase, high-tech exports and increasing work were needed. In addition, it has been noted that it is important to increase the expenditure of AR-GE and the number of patent applications. In addition, according to human development index values, Turkey is in an effort to reach a good level. With regard to the number of articles in scientific and technical journals, it is clear that Turkey has significant progress in this regard, especially in recent years.
