Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to examine the postgraduate studies on the attitude towards physical education and sports lessons in Turkey with document analysis and to determine the general situation. In line with the purpose of the study, a total of 104 postgraduate theses conducted between 2010-2021 were examined. The document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The data were evaluated by descriptive analysis method. In the examination of the theses about the attitude towards physical education and sports lessons; The “Thesis Review Form” developed by the researchers using the relevant literature was used. Thesis review form; The year of the thesis, the type of the thesis, the sample group, the method of the research, the data collection tool and the level of attitude towards the physical education and sports lesson were used according to the categories. As a result of the study, it was seen that the theses about the attitude towards physical education and sports lessons were intensely made in 2019. It has been determined that the most studied sample group is secondary school students. In addition, it was determined that quantitative method was used in terms of study method, survey model was used as research model, and scale was mostly used as data collection tool. Finally, it was determined that the students' attitudes towards physical education and sports lessons were generally high. It was concluded that the postgraduate theses on the attitude towards physical education and sports lessons were generally master's thesis and were carried out with quantitative method, and it was necessary to increase the number of qualitative studies and doctoral theses in order to examine the subject in more depth.
