Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the candidates for music teachers on the special training course conducted by distance learning. The study was established according to the phenomenological pattern of the quality research models. 47 music teachers formed the candidates of the study. It has been used a semi-configured interview form for the purpose of collecting data. The data was collected in the 2019-2020 educational period. In the collection of data, the Learning Management System was used that the relevant university provides the infrastructure of the University's Remote Education Application and Research Center. In the analysis of the data obtained, the content analysis technique was used. The data is reported separately on themes and sub-themes. According to the findings of the study, it has been achieved that the private training course is a necessary and useful lesson for each teacher and will contribute to the professional life. The teacher candidates have some expectations from the special training course and at the end of the course these expectations have been observed significantly. There were different opinions on the form of the course and the subjects discussed in the course. In addition, teachers candidates have presented some requests and recommendations regarding the special training course. The findings of the study were discussed in the framework of the area and some recommendations were presented.
