Abstract:

This study demonstrates the emotional work behavior by examining the emotional work processes of the execution and protection officers under their own working conditions. Study is important because emotional work is not carried out in the fields of work where it is identified with positive emotions and the subject is examined with a professional group outside the usual. The aim of the study is to examine the processes of emotional management of the execution and protection officers who are obliged to provide authority and appear rigorous and the consequences of the emotional work they show. For this purpose, the study decided to use the quality research method and a deep discussion with 13 execution and protection officers was carried out. The findings have shown that a significant portion of the execution and protection officers show a superficial emotional labor behavior. This situation has been observed to have a negative impact on the physical and psychological health of the execution and protection officers as well as their family and social lives.
