Sosyal değişme, toplum yapısının farklılaşması, kültürel, kurumsal ve davranışsal olarak dönüşüm sürecine girmesidir. Yaşadığımız dünya değiştikçe, insanlığın bilgi ve deneyimleri arttıkça değişim sürekli ve dinamik bir şekilde yaşanmaktadır. Sosyal değişimin hızı, ileri ve geri olabilirken sürekli aynı olmamakta, toplumun bir kurumunda meydana gelen değişim, diğer kurumları da etkilemektedir. Sosyal değişmeyi etkileyen en önemli kurumlardan biri de dindir. Din ile değişim bir etkileşim halindedir, din sosyal değişmeyi engelleyici ya da yavaşlatıcı bir rolde olabilmektedir. Sosyal değişmede devletlerin din politikaları üzerinde olumlu ya da olumsuz bir etkiye sahip olabilmektedir. Bu makalede, Türkiye’nin sosyal değişiminde dinin rolü incelenecektir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’ndan günümüze kadar dinin değişim sürecindeki konumu Osmanlı’da Din Devlet İlişkisi başlığın altında incelenirken, bu değişimde etkisi olan akımların ve isimlerin üzerinde durulacaktır. Cumhuriyetin kurulmasından sonra Atatürk dönemi ve tek partili dönem, çok partili hayata geçiş ve Demokrat Parti dönemindeki din politikaları incelenecektir. Bu politikaların, dönemin İslami Hareketlerinin ve İran Devrimi’nin, sonraki süreçte din politikalarını nasıl etkilediği üzerine gidilecek Türkiye’de din kurumunun günümüze kadar olan süreci, değişim ve dönüşüm olgusu üzerinden okunacaktır. Bu araştırmada, dönemlerin devlet-din ilişkileri, tarikat ve cemaatlere yönelik tutumları ve dini hareketler ele alınacaktır. Tüm bu dönemlerdeki sosyal değişim, siyasi ve toplumsal çerçevede, dine yönelik tutum ve din politikaları üzerinden değerlendirilecektir.
Social change is the differentiation of the structure of society and its cultural, institutional and behavioral transformation process. As the world we live in changes and the knowledge and experience of humanity increases, change is experienced continuously and dynamically. While the pace of social change can be forward and backward, it is not always the same, and the change that occurs in one institution of society affects other institutions as well. One of the most important institutions affecting social change is religion. Religion and change are in a state of interaction, religion can play a role in preventing or slowing down social change. In social change, it can have a positive or negative impact on the religious policies of states. In this article, the role of religion in Türkiye's social change will be analyzed. While the position of religion in the process of change from the Ottoman Empire to the present day will be examined under the title of Religion-State Relations in the Ottoman Empire, the movements and names that had an impact on this change will be emphasized. After the establishment of the Republic, Atatürk's period and the single-party period, the transition to multi-party life and the religious policies during the Democratic Party period will be examined. How these policies, the Islamic movements of the period and the Iranian Revolution affected religious policies in the following period will be analyzed; the process of the religious institution in Türkiye until today will be read through the phenomenon of change and transformation. In this research, the state-religion relations of the periods, attitudes towards sects and congregations and religious movements will be discussed.
