Alternatif turizm türleri arasında yer alan kültür turizmi kültürel amaçlı yapılan ziyaret ve seyahatleri kapsamaktadır. Erzurum’a son yıllarda yapılan seyahatlerde kültür turizmi odaklı ziyaretlerin sıklaştığı gözlemlenmektedir. Yerel yönetimlerin Erzurum’un kültürel ögelerini korumak ve ön plana çıkarmak için yapmış oldukları kentsel dönüşüm ve restorasyon çalışmalarının destinasyona olan ilgiyi artırdığı gözlemlenmektedir. Bu değişimin sonuçlarını belirlemek amacıyla çalışma planlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda Erzurum’da kültür turizminin mevcut durumunun incelenmesi, Erzurum’u ziyaret eden yerli turistlerin, Erzurum’a ve Erzurum’da kültür turizmine ilişkin algılarının belirlenmesi ve Erzurum’u ziyaret eden yerli turistlerin bu destinasyona bakış açıları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda anket formu hazırlanmış ve Erzurum’u ziyaret eden yerli turistler içerisinden 415 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler frekans analizi, t testi ve Varyans analizi yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, yerli turistlerin kültürel bir destinasyon olarak Erzurum algılarının genel anlamda olumlu olduğu, Erzurum’un şu anki durumunu iyi olarak değerlendirdikleri ve seyahatlerinden memnun kaldıkları tespit edilmiştir.
Cultural tourism, which is among the alternative tourism types, includes cultural visits and travels. It is observed that cultural tourism-oriented visits to Erzurum in recent years have become more frequent. It is observed that the urban transformation and restoration works carried out by the local governments to protect and highlight the cultural elements of Erzurum increase the interest in the destination. A study was planned to determine the results of this change. In this context, it has been tried to examine the current situation of cultural tourism in Erzurum, to determine the perceptions of local tourists visiting Erzurum about Erzurum and cultural tourism in Erzurum, and to determine the perspectives of domestic tourists visiting Erzurum to this destination. In this context, a questionnaire was prepared and applied to 415 local tourists who came to visit Erzurum. The data obtained; Frequency percentage tables were analyzed with the help of t test and Varyans analysis. As a result of the analyzes made, it has been determined that the perception of Erzurum as a cultural destination by the local tourists is generally positive, they evaluate the current situation of Erzurum as good and they are satisfied with their travels.
