Osmanlı yenileşmesinde süregelen reform girişimleri on dokuz ile yirminci asırda sistemleşmiş ve kanıksanmıştır. Bu yüzden söz konusu dönemin tahlili Osmanlı modernleşmesinin anlaşılması için elzemdir. Sürece yönelik gerçekleştirilen çok sayıda çalışma olmakla birlikte henüz dönemin zihni ve dilsel yolculuğunu, tecrübesini gösterecek kâfi derecede kavramlar tarihi çalışması yapılmamıştır. Söz konusu alana katkıda bulunmak adına makalemizde Osmanlı Devleti’nin on dokuz ve yirminci yüzyılları için temsil değeri yüksek olan on dokuz ana metin incelenerek kullanılan kavramlar tespit edilmiştir. Akabinde tespit edilen kavramların anlam dönüşümleri tetkik edilmiştir. Yapılan çalışma vasıtasıyla tarihyazımında kavramların tarihlerinin önemine işaret edilmiş, Osmanlı Devleti Tarihi için Kavramlar Tarihi’nin ehemmiyetine dikkat çekilmiştir.
The continued reform efforts in the Ottoman renewal have been systematized and proved in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. That’s why the evaluation of the time in question is the element for understanding the Ottoman modernization. Although there are many studies carried out towards the process, there has not yet been a long-term study of concepts that will show the mental and linguistic journey of the period, the experience of it. In order to contribute to this area, our article identifies the concepts used by studying the twelve main texts, which have a high representative value for the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of the Ottoman State. The meaning of the concepts identified at the end has been examined. Through the work done, the importance of the dates of the concepts in history has been pointed out, the importance of the concepts for the history of the Ottoman State has been attracted.
