SON YİRMİ YILDA OKUMA BECERİLERİ ÜZERİNE YAPILAN MAKALELERİN BİLİMSEL HARİTALAMA ANALİZİ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada son yirmi yılda okuma becerileri üzerine yapılan makalelerin bilimsel haritalama analizi yoluyla okuma becerileri alanının sosyal, kavramsal ve entellektüel yapısının ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada bibliyometrik analiz aracılığıyla betimsel bir araştırma modeli olan genel tarama modeli benimsenmiştir. 2001-2020 yılları arasında okuma becerileri alanındaki son yirmi yılı kapsayan dönem için Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanından “reading skills” anahtar kelimesi ile arama yapılmış ve 127 makaleye ulaşılmıştır. Veriler bibliyometrik analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Bilimsel alan haritalama ile araştırma alanının bilimsel ögeleri arasındaki iş birliği ağları ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Veriler VOSviewer yazılım programı ile analiz edilmiş ve ağ haritaları oluşturulmuştur. Ortak yazar analizinde, yazarlar arasında Lerkkanen’in, kurumlar arasında Doğu Finland Üniversitesi ve Jyvaskyla Üniversitesi’nin, ülkeler arasında ABD ve İngiltere’nin bilimsel makaleler üzerinde iş birliği değerlerinin yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ortak atıf analizinde, birlikte en fazla alıntı yapılan referansın “Adams, M. J. (1990)” olduğu, derginin ise “Journal of Educational Psychology” isimli dergi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bibliyografik eşleştirme analizinde “Reading and Writing” adlı derginin diğer dergilerle güçlü ilişki kurduğu tespit edilmiştir. Makalelerde en sık yer alan anahtar kelimelerin “reading skills”, “reading comprehension” ve “comprehension” ile “pre-reading skills” olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda okuma becerileri konusunda elde edilen makalelerde alana katkı sağlayan yazarlar, kurumlar, dergiler, ülkeler belirlenmiş ve daha çok tercih edilen anahtar kelimeler saptanmıştır. Alandaki mevcut eğilimler, hâkim araştırma konuları ve merkezde yer alan bilimsel ögeler tespit edilmiştir.

Scientific Mapping Analysis Of Articles On Reading Skills Published In The Last Twenty Years

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the social, conceptual and intellectual structure of the field of reading skills through scientific mapping analysis of articles on reading skills in the last two decades. In this research the general survey model, which is a descriptive research model, was adopted through bibliometric analysis. A search was made in the Web of Science (WoS) database with the keyword "reading skills" for the period covering the last twenty years in the field of reading skills between 2001 and 2020, and 127 articles were obtained. The data were analyzed with the bibliometric analysis method. Collaboration networks between the scientific elements of the research field have been revealed with scientific field mapping. The data were analyzed with the VOSviewer software program and network maps were created. In co-author analysis, it was determined that Lerkkanen among the authors, Eastern Finland University and Jyvaskyla University among the institutions, and the USA and England among the countries have high cooperation values on scientific articles. In co-citation analysis, it was determined that the most cited reference was Adams and Journal of Educational Psychology was the journal. In bibliographic matching analysis, it was determined that the journal named Reading and Writing had a strong relationship with other journals. It was determined that the most frequently used keywords in the articles were "reading skills", "reading comprehension" and "comprehension" and "pre-reading skills". As a result of the research, through the articles obtained on reading skills authors, institutions, journals, countries that contributed to the field were determined and more preferred keywords were determined. Current trends in the field, dominant research topics, scientific elements in the center have been identified.
