Abstract:

Health services are in tight competition in the sector with the need for zero error arising from the aim of providing superior service and the motive to carry on despite the effects of competitors. For this reason, hospital institutions or organizations that are planning to deploy or develop according to the market structure need to make top-notch planning. While developing this plan, it is necessary to make an effort to build the plans of surviving to the future with strategic management, which is the most important method in management processes, on solid ground. It would be appropriate for organizations to evaluate these plans with the competitive strategy method. Many businesses have used Porter's Five Forces Model as a competitive analysis method. This study examines the strategic competition aspect of health management in the context of Porter's Five Forces Model, an important model of competitive analysis method. In this study, a descriptive analysis was made by determining the health sensitivity that developed with Covid-19 within the framework of Turkey's health services, and the competitive situations in Tokat, based on data from TURKSTAT and the Ministry of Health. The article ends with suggestions for structural developments regarding the health services situation in Tokat.
