The aim of this study is to reveal the problem of freedom arising from Baudrillard’s perspective through the modernization process. According to Baudrillard, many classical and modern-era thinkers admitted that they were often free by nature of the individual. The individual’s freedom can be assessed by taking into account the circumstances in which it is. In this period, when the conditions were determined by fashion, advertising, mass media, machines and the crowd, the freedom of man has not remained in place. It is because it has been put in a position in front of the object. In this new process in which the object is active, the state such as the dream, desire, will and mind that form the mental equipment has also changed. These situations that create desire and provide free choice are shaped by the object, not by the essence.
