Abstract:

Terms and their meanings are of great importance in order to reveal the boundaries of a science. In recent years, studies on rhetoric and rhetorical terminology have been increasing. One of these studies is the work called "Dictionary of Rhetoric Terms" written by Prof. Dr. Ali Bulut. In the said study, 800 rhetorical terms were explained based on Arabic and Turkish examples. The work is written in a single chapter and is arranged alphabetically. In the work, the Turkish equivalents of the terms and the examples from Turkish literature are extensively included, making it easier to understand the terms. In the work, if a term has more than one name, the most common name is included and the others are simply pointed out. The work fills an important gap since there are not many sources in the Turkish literature on the subject.
