Abstract:

Purpose: Our clinic was aimed at evaluating the results of the operations applied for scfoid fractures with different indications. Tools and Methods: The study included 47 patients operated with the cause of skafoid break in the ortopedic and traumatological clinic. The surgical technique, the broken localization and the effects of smoking on the clinical score of the wrist and handheld have been assessed. Results: According to broken anatomical localizations, 5 (10.6%) patients had distal polar fractures, 32 (68.1%) patients had back fractures, 10 (21.3%) patients had proximal polar fractures. According to the anatomical areas of the break, when the MAYO scores were studied, the distal polar area breakdowns were considered perfect, the back area breakdowns were good, and the proximal polar breakdowns were well-mediate. Patients smoking have seen a decrease in the MAYO scores. by p <0,05. According to the surgical procedures applied, there was no meaningful relationship between the MAYO scores. The outcome is that acute fractures, especially nondeplase stable fractures, may be preferred by the percutaneous surgical method, but no significant difference has been observed in terms of clinical scores with open surgery. The broken localization was found to be significant in terms of clinical scores and the use of cigarette has a negative impact on cooking.
