Abstract:

Geotextiles, which are one of the technical textiles, are a structural material, which is used in the field-related engineering work, with formats in the form of tissue or goat, made of curved, touched or untouched natural and artificial wire. Geotextiles (geotextiles), which also have characteristics such as thin, flexible, durable and aesthetic, have increased their popularity in recent years. Geotextiles used in road, large structures, barges and similar water structures, parks, sports areas, railway underground works and many areas like this have become an indispensable material today.   In this study, the fields of application and functions of geotextiles were studied. Mechanical functions of geotextiles; separation, supplementation (stabilization) and protection features and hydraulic functions; filtration, drainage and isolation features have been studied.   Keywords: Geotextile, Textile, Materials, Application
