Bu çalışmanın amacı Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu bünyesindeki öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine karşı tutumlarını araştırmaktır. Daha ayrıntılı olarak bu çalışma ile öğrencilerin cinsiyet, yaş, sınıf, bölüm alt grup farklılıkları ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma amacı doğrultusunda, genel tarama modellerinden olan kesit alma yaklaşımı ve ilişkisel tarama modeliyle yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya, Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinden toplam 280 (%70 geri dönüt) gönüllü öğrenci katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, Özgür tarafından 1994 yılında geliştirilen Mesleki Tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin bu çalışma için yapılan güvenilirlik analizinde, güvenirlik katsayısı α=.84 olarak bulunmuştur. Elde edilen veriler betimsel istatistik, korelasyon analizi ve çoklu varyans analizi (teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda beden eğitimi bölümlerinde okuyan öğrencilerin yaş ve okudukları sınıflar ile mesleğe yönelik tutum puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmazken, okudukları bölüm ve cinsiyetleri ile mesleki tutum puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Çalışmanın sonuçları incelendiğinde, cinsiyet (F(1278)=9,35 p<.05) ve bölüm (F(2277)=6.03 p<.05) değişkenleri ile öğrencilerin tutumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur.
The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes of students within the Physical Education and Sports High School towards the teaching profession. More in detail, this study has been attempted to reveal the differences between the students’ gender, age, class, section subgroup. According to the purpose of the research, it was done with the cutting approach and the relative scanning model from the general scanning models. The study included a total of 280 (70%) volunteer students from the High School of Physical Education and Sports. As a data collection tool, the Professional Attitude scale was developed by Free in 1994. In the reliability analysis for this study, the reliability ratio was found as α=.84. The obtained data is analyzed using visual statistics, correlation analysis and multi-variance analysis (techniques). As a result of the study, there was no significant difference between the age and class classes of students studying in the body education departments and their attitude to the profession, but there was a significant difference between the department and gender they studied and their attitude to the profession. When the results of the study were studied, statistically significant differences were found between the variables of gender (F(1;278)=9.35; p<.05) and section (F(2;277)=6.03; p<.05) and the attitudes of students.
The purpose of this study is to investigate preservice teachers' attitudes and beliefs to physical education. Further, the differences in these dependent variables among subgroups defined by gender, age, years in school, and major field of study are also examined. For the purpose of this study, cross sectional method of survey was employed to analyze relationships among variables. A total of 280 subjects (70% response rate), who were university students in the school of physical education and sport, voluntarily participated in the study. The data were collected by using scale of ‘Attitudes Towards Choosing Vocation’ which were developed by Ozgur in 1995. In the present study, validity of the instrument was found sufficiently high (α=.84). Further, the statistical analyses of the study included descriptive statistics, correlational analyses and univariate analysis. The results of the univariate analysis with Gender (F(1;278)=9,35; p<.05) and Major Field of Study (F(2;277)=6.03; p<.05) were found to have significant effect on preservice teachers' attitudes and beliefs to physical education. The results of the study was further elaborated and discussed.
