Abstract:

The opportunities offered by digitalization with the developing technology have led to the formation of new formal presentations, new design and production styles that cannot be realized with traditional methods. Digital technologies such as 3D printing, Digital printing, Virtualization, Laser cutting, Artificial intelligence, CAD systems offer important advantages to textile and fashion designers in terms of meeting the customer's innovation expectation. While some technologies have widespread use, some take their place in the design world within the scope of R&D. In this research, digital technologies used in textile and fashion design were examined, clothing and accessories designs that could be produced in three-dimensional printers were made using the two-dimensional digital design program Adobe Illustrator with experimental development method, and data and visuals related to the design processes were shared. As a result, the demand for digital technologies in the textile and fashion industry has increased in order to meet customer expectations and increase satisfaction. It is accepted that these technologies offer significant opportunities in terms of design and production. In addition, these technologies have an important potential in terms of ensuring sustainability.
