Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reveal the opinions of Turkish teachers about Turkish Lesson teacher guide books and lesson plans. For this purpose, the opinions of 200 Turkish teachers were taken. Content analysis of interviews with Turkish Teachers were done. The interview forms of the teachers were examined in five dimensions, how they used the teacher guide book effectively, the necessity of the teacher guide book, what should be in the teacher guide book, whether they prepared the lesson plan and whether they preferred the guide book or the lesson plan. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, Turkish teachers see teacher guidebooks as a need to make the lesson more efficient. Although there is a legal requirement, most teachers do not plan their lessons. As a result, that those who made lesson plans could not benefit from the lesson plan at desired a level. In this context, it was observed that there is a shortage of guide resources to guide the mother tongue education in an environment where teacher guide books are removed, and to guide the teacher in reaching the information, skills and competencies targeted by the program. If current practice continues, guidance and supervision activities are needed for Turkish teachers to prepare and apply to their lessons.
