Anahtar Kelimeler: Hepatit A Virüs Çocuk Erişkin Seropozitiflik. ABSTRACT Objective: This study aimed to examine the Anti-HAV IgG and Anti-HAV IgM seropositivity of the patients in different age groups who admitted to our hospital and to find the distribution of seropositivity by age group, gender, and seasons. Material and Methods: The results of Anti-HAV IgG and/or Anti-HAV IgM tests, which were studied with Abbott Architect I1000 (Abbott-Laboratories, Illinois, USA) the device between 2017-2019, were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Seropositivity was detected in 2368 (68.6%) of 3450 patients in whom Anti-HAV IgG was studied, and 56 (3.1%) of 1780 patients in whom Anti-HAV IgM was studied. No statistically significant difference was found between genders in terms of the distribution of Anti-HAV antibodies. It was determined that the group with the highest Anti-HAV IgG seropositivity (87.5%) was ≥51 years old, and the group with the lowest (38.8%) age was 11-17 years. Anti-HAV IgG positivity in the 11-17 age group was statistically significantly lower than other age groups. It was determined that the group with the highest Anti-HAV IgM seropositivity (6.4%) was 41-50 years old, and the group with the lowest seropositivity (0.8%) was 0-10 years old. Anti-HAV IgM seropositivity was found to be significantly higher in adult patients compared to pediatric patients. It was determined that Anti-HAV IgM seropositivity was the highest (44.6%) in autumn. Conclusion: After vaccination, it was observed that the susceptibility of children to HAV infection decreased and unvaccinated adults became more susceptible. This situation has shown the necessity of activating adult vaccination programs. Keywords: Hepatitis A Virüs Child Adult Seropositivity.

Özet:

This study aims to study the seropositivity of patients of different age groups who apply to our hospital and to evaluate the distribution of seropositivity according to age groups, gender and seasons. Tools and Methods: The results of the Anti-HAV IgG and/or Anti-HAV IgM testing, which was worked with the Abbott Architect I1000 (Abbott-Laboratories, Illinois, USA) between 2017-2019 years, were retrospective. Results: Seropositivity was determined in 2368 (6.8%) of the 3450 patients who studied Anti-HAV IgG, and in 56 (3.1%) of the 1780 patients who studied Anti-HAV IgM. There was no statistically significant difference between gender in terms of anti-HAV antibodies. The group with the highest seropositivity (87.5%) anti-HAV IgG ≥51 years old and the lowest (38.8%) group with the highest seropositivity (87.5%) was identified as 11-17 years old. In the age group 11-17 the anti-HAV IgG positivity was statistically significantly low compared to other age groups. The group with the highest seropositivity (6.4%) anti-HAV IgM was 41-50 years old and the lowest (0.8%) group was 0-10 years old. Anti-HAV IgM seropositivity has been found to be significantly higher in adult patients than in children. Anti-HAV IgM seropositivity has been found to be the highest (44.6%) in the autumn season. The result: after vaccination, the sensitivity of children to HIV infection has been reduced, and unvaccinated adults have become more sensitive. This has shown the need for more active adult vaccination programs. Keywords: hepatitis A virus; child; adult; seropositivity.
