21. Yüzyıl Becerileri Konusunda Araştırma Eğilimleri: 2000-2020 (Ocak Ayı)

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, 21. yüzyıl becerileri konusunda 2000 ve 2020 (Ocak ayı) yılları arasında yapılan araştırmaların farklı değişkenler açısından eğilimlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi kullanılarak içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Tez, bildiri veya makalelerin 21. yüzyıl becerileri, 21. yy becerileri veya 21st century skills kelimelerini içermesi, öğrenme-öğretme ortamlarında öğretmen veya öğrencileri kapsaması ya da ders müfredatları üzerine gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar olması, yayınların erişilebilir olması ve 2000-2020 (Ocak ayı) yılları arasında yayınlanması araştırmanın ölçütü olarak belirlenmiş ve bu kapsamda 115 çalışmaya ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmaların çoğunluğuna erişim sağlanmış, ulaşılamayanlar araştırmaya dâhil edilmemiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, incelenen araştırmaların çoğunlukla 2019 yılında yayınlandığı, araştırmaların çoğunlukla nicel yöntem ve tarama modeli kullanılarak yürütüldüğü belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra araştırmaların çoğunlukla makale olarak gerçekleştirildiği, araştırma konusunu öğrenen ve öğretenlerin 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin oluşturduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmaların örneklem grubunu ve örneklem sayısını çoğunlukla öğretmen adaylarının oluşturduğu söylenebilir. Gelecekte konu ile ilgili yapılacak araştırmaların ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise öğrencileri üzerinde yoğunlaşması gerektiği ve öğrenme/öğretme süreçlerinde kullanılan yöntem ve tekniklerin öğrencilerin 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin gelişimine etkisinin araştırılması yeni bir araştırma konusu olarak önerilebilir.

The objective of this research is to determine the trends of research on the skills of the 21st century between 2000 and 2020 (January) in terms of different variables. In the study, content analysis was made using document examination of quality research methods. The thesis, the declaration or the articles contain the skills of the 21st century, the skills of the 21st century or the words of the skills of the 21st century, the coverage of teachers or students in the learning and teaching environments or the study of the curriculum, the availability of publications and the publication between 2000-2020 (January) years have been determined as the criterion of the research and in this context 115 studies have been achieved. Most of the researchers have been accessed, and those unavailable have not been included in the research. The research finds that the research mostly was published in 2019 and that the research was mostly conducted using a quantum method and a scan model. In addition, it has been determined that research is mostly carried out as a paper, that the learning and teaching subjects are the skills of the 21st century. It can also be said that the sampling group of research and the number of sampling are mostly formed by the teacher candidates. The research to be carried out on the subject in the future should be focused on primary, secondary and high school students and the study of the effects of the methods and techniques used in learning/learning processes on the development of the 21st century skills of students can be suggested as a new research topic.

The aim of this study is to determine the trends of the researches conducted in the 21st century skills between 2000 and 2020 (January) in terms of different variables. The content analysis of this study was carried out using document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. Research criteria have been defined as: theses, papers or articles that include the words “21st century skills”, include teachers or students in the teaching and learning environment, or study the course curriculum, make publications available and publish them between 2000 and 2020 ( January). In this context, 115 studies have been conducted. Access to the majority of the research has been provided, and those who cannot be reached are not included in the research. As a result of the research, it was determined that the investigated studies were mostly published in 2019, and the researches were mostly carried out by using the quantitative method and survey model. In addition, it has been determined that researches are mainly conducted in the form of articles, and the skills of the 21st century of those who study and teach the subject of research were found. In addition, it can be said that the research sample consists mainly of candidate teachers. The impact of teaching / learning methods and techniques on the development of 21st century skills in students can be proposed as a topic for new research in order to focus future research on secondary, primary and high school students.
