Bu araştırmanın amacı evli kadınların benlik saygı düzeyleri, temel kişilik özellikleri ve maruz kaldıkları aile içi şiddet arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışma nicel verilere dayalı tarama modelinde bir araştırmadır. Araştırma verileri, Ağustos-Aralık 2018 tarihleri arasında, kartopu örnekleme alma yöntemi kullanılarak ulaşılan 441 evli kadına araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan tanıtıcı özellikler soru formu, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Türk Kültüründe Geliştirilmiş Temel Kişilik Özellikleri Ölçeği ve Aile İçi Kadına Yönelik Şiddet Ölçeği uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Bu araştırmada evli kadınların Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile Aile İçi Kadına Yönelik Şiddet Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında negatif, zayıf, istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, eş şiddeti arttıkça kadınların benlik saygı düzeylerinde azalma olduğu saptanmıştır. Aile İçi Kadına Yönelik Şiddet Ölçeği puan ortalamasının 25 yaş altı kadınlarda diğer yaş gruplarına göre daha fazla olduğu, kadınların eğitim ve ailenin gelir düzeyi yükseldikçe Aile İçi Kadına Yönelik Şiddet Ölçeği puan ortalamasının azaldığı, kadınların Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Aile İçi Kadına Yönelik Şiddet Ölçeği ve Temel Kişilik Özellikleri Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile eşlerinin eğitim düzeyleri, evlenme biçimleri ve nikâh şekilleri arasında ise anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçların ve sonuca bağlı olarak belirlenecek tespitlerin sosyal hizmetler perspektifinden kadın refahı alanına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between married women’s levels of self-respect, basic personality characteristics and family violence they are exposed to. This study is a research in the scan model based on quantum data. The research data, between August and December 2018, was collected by applying the 441 married women’s researchers’ indicative characteristics question form, the Rosenberg Self-respect Scale, the Turkish Culture Developed Basic Personality Character Scale, and the Family Women’s Violence Scale. The study found that married women have a negative, weak, statistically meaningful relationship between the average scores of self-esteem scale and the average scores of women's self-esteem scale, and that women have a decrease in their self-esteem scale. The average scale of violence against women in the family is higher than the average scale of women under the age of 25, the average scale of violence against women in the family is lower as the education and income levels of women in the family are higher, the average scale of violence against women in the family is lower, the average scale of violence against women in the family and the average scale of personality characteristics and the average scale of women in the family and the average scale of women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family, the average scale of violence against women in the family. It is believed that the results obtained from this study and the findings that will be determined based on the outcome will contribute to the field of women’s welfare from the perspective of social services.
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-esteem levels, basic personality traits and domestic violence in married woman. This study is research in the screening model based on quantitative data. Data were collected from 441 married women using the snowball sampling method between August and December 2018, using the Descriptive properties questionnaire., Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Basic Personality Traits Scale developed in Turkish Culture and Domestic Violence Scale against Women. In this study, it was found that there was a negative, weak, statistically significant relationship between the mean scores of the Self-Esteem Scale of married women and the mean scores of the Domestic Violence Scale against women and there is a decrease in self-esteem levels of women as spouse violence increases. According to the results, the mean score of the Domestic Violence Against Women Scale was found to be higher in women under 25 years of age compared to other age groups. As the level of education of woman and family income increased, the mean score of the Domestic Violence Against Women Scale decreased. It was found that there was no significant relationship between the mean scores of women's Self-Esteem Scale, Domestic Violence Against Women Scale and Basic Personality Traits Scale and their marriage types. It is thought that this study, the results to be obtained from the study and the determinations to be determined based on the results will contribute to the field of women welfare from the perspective of social works.
