Giriş: Bebeklerin konuşma ve lisan gelişimi yaşamın ilk yıllarında gelişmektedir. Bu çalışmayı, uyguladığımız yenidoğan işitme tarama protokolü başarısını ve işitme kaybı olası/tesbit edilmiş yenidoğan oranımızı literatür verileri eşliğinde değerlendirmek amacıyla planladık. Materyal Metod: Yenidoğan işitme tarama testi uygulanmış 5255 yenidoğanın test sonuçları retrospektif dosya taraması üzerinden değerlendirildi. Tarama testi uygulanan bebekler hastanemizde doğmuş ya da farklı merkezlerden yenidoğan işitme tarama testi uygulanmak üzere merkezimize yönlendirilmiş sağlıklı bebeklerden oluşmaktaydı. Bulgular: Son bir yılda test uygulanan 5255 yenidoğandan %84.57'si 1. aşamadaki testten geçti. %15.43'ü ikinci defa test edildi. İkinci aşamada test yapılan bebeklerin 584'ü taramadan "geçti" yanıtı aldı. 227 (bebeklerin %4.32 si) bebek her iki tarama testinden de kaldı. 227 bebeğe referans üst merkez değerlendirmesi önerildi. Sevk edilen bebeklerin 5'i (%2.2) üst merkeze başvurmadı. Çalışmaya alınan 5255 bebekten Beyin Sapı Uyarılmış Cevap Odyometrisi (BERA) sonucuna göre doğrulanmış işitme kaybı tesbit edilen bebek oranı % 0.24 idi. İşitme kaybı doğrulanan bebeklerin 9 (%0.17)'unda çift taraflı, 4(%0.07)'ünde tek taraflı işitme kaybı tespit edildi. İşitme kayıplı bebekler, işitme kaybının doğrulanmasını takiben bir ay içinde işitme cihazı ile cihazlandırılmıştı. Sonuç: Etkin yürütülen yenidoğan işitme tarama testi programları, taranan bebekler ve aileler açısından oldukça olumlu sonuçlar getirmektedir.
Introduction: Baby's speech and tongue development develops in the first years of life. This study was planned to evaluate the success of the newborn hearing scan protocol that we implement and our probable/testified newborn rate of hearing loss, accompanied by literary data. Material Method: The newborn hearing scan test applied 5255 newborn test results were evaluated through retrospective file scan. The screening test was made up of healthy babies born in our hospital or from different centers directed to our center to apply the newborn hearing screening test. Results: 84.57% of 5255 newborns tested in the last year passed the 1st stage test. 15.43% were tested for the second time. In the second phase, 584 of the babies tested received a "passed" response from the scan. 227 (4.32% of babies) the baby was left from both screening tests. The 227 baby reference center assessment was recommended. 5 of the infants sent (2.2%) did not apply to the top center. According to the test of 5255 babies, the tested hearing loss rate was 0.24% according to the test of the brain-specified response odymetry (BERA). In 9 (0.17%) of the baby’s hearing loss confirmed, dual, and one-sided hearing loss in 4 (0.07) were detected. Hearing loss babies were equipped with a hearing device within a month after hearing loss was confirmed. Results: Efficiently conducted newborn hearing scan testing programs bring quite positive results for scaned babies and families.
