Halkla ilişkiler eğitiminin nasıl olması gerektiği, akademisyenlerin, sektörün ve öğrencilerin beklentilerinin neler olduğu, müfredatın oluşturulması, standardizasyon çalışmaları gibi konular alanda en çok tartışılan konular arasında yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, halkla ilişkiler eğitimiyle ilgili yapılan birçok çalışmanın ışığında iletişim fakültesinde lisans düzeyinde öğrenim gören halkla ilişkiler öğrencilerinin aldıkları eğitime yönelik görüşlerini tespit etmek ve bu görüşlerin demografik özelliklerle ilişkisini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma Kocaeli Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım Bölümü ve Sakarya Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Halkla İlişkiler ve Reklamcılık Bölümü öğrencileriyle sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmış, veri toplama yöntemi olarak anket formu uygulanmıştır. Araştırmaya her iki üniversiteden toplam 318 öğrenci katılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular SPSS Statistics 20 programıyla değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın temel bulgularına göre halkla ilişkiler eğitimiyle ilgili ifadelere öğrencilerin 3,2668 ortalama değerle orta düzeyde katılım sağladıkları belirlenmiştir. Böylelikle öğrencilerin halkla ilişkiler eğitimine ilişkin görüşlerinin olumlu yönde olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan analizler sonucu öğrencilerin eğitim gördükleri üniversite ve sınıfa göre halkla ilişkiler eğitimiyle ilgili görüşlerinde farklılıklar saptanmıştır.
Public relations are among the topics that are most discussed in the field, such as how education should be, what are the expectations of academics, industry and students, the creation of the curriculum, standardization studies. The objective of this study is to identify the opinions of public relations students studying at the Bachelor's level at the Faculty of Communication in light of many studies on public relations education and to reveal the relationship of these opinions with the demographic characteristics. The research is limited to students of the Kocaeli University School of Communications Public Relations and Promotion Department and the Sakarya University School of Communications Public Relations and Advertising Department. The research used the relative scanning model, the survey form was applied as the data collection method. A total of 318 students from both universities participated in the study. The results were evaluated by the SPSS Statistics 20 program. According to the study’s basic findings; public relations education statements were found that students attended at an average level of 3,2668 participants. The study concluded that the students’ opinions on public relations education were in a positive direction. The results of the analysis also found differences in opinions on public relations education according to the university and classroom in which students studied.
Topics such as how public relations education should be, what academicians, the sector and students expect, the establishment of the curriculum and standardization studies are among the most debated topics in the field. The purpose of this study is to determine the views of public relations undergraduate students about the education and to reveal the relationship of these views with demographic characteristics in the light of many studies on public relations education. The research was limited to the students of Kocaeli University Faculty of Communication Department of Public Relations and Publicity and Sakarya University Faculty of Communication Department of Public Relations and Advertising. A relational survey model was used in the study and a questionnaire was used as a data collection method. A total of 318 students from both universities participated in the study. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS Version 20. According to the main findings of the study; It was determined that the students had medium level participation with 3.2668 average values. Thus, it is concluded that students' views on public relations education are in a positive way. In addition, as a results of the analysis differences on the views of students were determined about public relations education according to the universities and classes.
