Fotoğraf, sanat ortamını tetikleyen, sürekliliği sağlayan önemli güçlerden biridir. Fotoğrafın resim sanatından sonra bulunması, ilk ilişki kurduğu alanın resim sanatı olması ve ilk fotoğrafçıların çoğunun ressam olmasından dolayı resim sanatının, fotoğrafın plastik dilini etkilediği söylenebilir. Fotoğrafın özellikle resimselci fotoğraf denilen ilk evresinde bir sanat olduğunu kanıtlama çabası ile yapılan deneysel çalışmaların, daha çok resimsel bir etki yaratmak için olduğu bilinmektedir. Fotoğrafta resimselliğin temeli izlenimciliğe dayanmaktadır. Stieglitz, resimsel fotoğraf alanında başarılı isimlerden biriyken, Eugene Atget’nin fotoğraflarında kübist ve gelecekçi ressamların kullandığı yöntemlere başvurduğu görülmektedir. Fotoğrafın daha sonraki evrelerinde kendine özgü bir kimlik oluşturma çabası içine girmiş olmasının yanında resimsel dilden tamamen kopmadığı veya kopmak istemediği açıktır. Katerina Belkina’nın resim ve fotoğrafı birleştiren eserleri, Özlem Şimşek’in Türk sanat tarihinin tarihi tablolarındaki kadın temsillerini fotoğraflarında yeniden canlandırması, fotoğraf-resim etkileşiminin devam ettiğini göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada, fotoğraf resim yakınlaşmasına ve sanatçıların fotoğraflarında dijital teknolojiyi kullanarak resim ve fotoğrafı birleştiren eserlerine yer verilmiştir.
Photography is one of the important forces that trigger the art environment and ensure continuity. It can be said that the art of painting influences the plastic language of photography due to the fact that the photography was found after the art of painting, that its first field of contact was the art of painting, and that most of the first photographers were painters. It is known that the aim of the experimental studies carried out with the effort to prove that photography is an art especially in the first phase of photography called pictorial photography was mostly to create a pictorial effect. The pictorialism in photography is based on impressionism. While Stieglitz is one of the successful names in the field of pictorial photography, it is also seen that Eugene Atget adopts the methods used by cubist and futuristic artists in his photographs. Although the photography tried to create a unique identity for itself in its later phases, it is clear that it did not completely separate or does not want to separate from the pictorial language. The works of Katerina Belkina combining painting and photography and Özlem Lightning's revitalization of women's representations in the historical paintings of Turkish art history indicate that photography-painting interaction still continues. The convergence between photography and painting and artist's works that combine painting and photography by using digital technology in their photographs are included in this study.
