Geleceğin nesillerine yön verecek önemli aktörlerden biri olan öğretmenlere, öğrencilerde istenilen nitelikleri geliştirmelerinde en fazla destek sağlayacak unsur öğretim programlarıdır. Bu nedenle öğretmenlerin kendi branşının öğretim programını tanıması ve hayata geçirebilme becerisi, eğitimde başarının temellerinden birisidir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin program okuryazarlık düzeylerine yönelik algı seviyelerinin bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Tarama modelinin kullanıldığı çalışma, 2019-2020 yılı yaz döneminde Google Form Portalı üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya gönüllü 351 öğretmen katılmıştır. Çalışmada Keskin (2020) tarafından geliştirilen “Öğretim Programı Okuryazarlık Algı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerin çözümünde Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis H testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerin program okuryazarlığı algı düzeylerinin hem alt boyut puanlarında hem de toplam puanda yüksek düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğretmenlerinin cinsiyetlerine, eğitim düzeylerine, mesleki kıdemlerine ve görev yaptıkları kademeye göre program okuryazarlık düzeylerine yönelik algı seviyelerinde anlamlı farklılık bulunmazken yaş, mezun olunan bölüm, çalıştıkları kurum türü, lisans döneminde öğretim programları ile ilgili ders alma durumları, öğretim programları ile ilgili hizmet içi eğitim alma durumları, öğretim programlarına verdikleri önem düzeyi ve öğretim programlarından yararlanma sıklıklarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir.
Teachers, which are one of the key actors to guide future generations, are the elementary teaching programs that will provide the most support in developing the desired qualities in students. Therefore, the ability of teachers to recognize and implement their own branch’s curriculum is one of the foundations for success in education. In this context, the purpose of this study is to study the level of perception of the body education teachers towards the program literature levels according to some variables. The study used the scan model was carried out through the Google Form Portal in the summer period 2019-2020. 351 teachers participated in the study. The study has used the "Teaching Program Reading Perception Scale" developed by Keskin (2020. The researchers used Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H tests. In the study, body education and sports teachers’ program literature perception levels were high in both the low-dimensional points and the overall points. There are no significant differences in the level of perception to the level of program literature depending on the gender, educational levels, professional stages and the degree they perform; the age, the department graduated, the type of institution they work, the conditions of teaching related to the teaching programs in the bachelor’s period, the conditions of service-in-service training related to the teaching programs, the level of importance they give to the teaching programs and the frequency of use of the teaching programs.
Curriculum supports teachers the most while teaching necessary skills to shape and guide their students’ future. Therefore, success in education depends on teachers’ having detailed information about curriculum and putting that information into practice in various learning environments. This study aims to examine physical education and sports teachers’ perception about their curriculum literacy levels according to some variables. The data were collected through Curriculum Literacy Perception Scale, developed by Keskin (2020), via Google Form Portal during 2019-2020 Summer semester from 351 physical education and sports teachers. Since the data did not display a normal distribution, non-parametric statistical techniques were used for analysis. Mann-Whitney U test was used for pairwise comparisons and Kruskal Wallis H Test for comparisons involving more than two variables. The findings revealed high levels of curriculum perception levels in sub dimensions and the overall score. The study found no significant differences in physical education and sports teachers’ perception level about their curriculum literacy levels according to “gender”, “educational background”, “length of service”, and “type of school”; however, there were significant differences in the variables “age”, “type of institution”, “curriculum-related courses in undergraduate education”, curriculum-related in-service training programs”, “importance given to curricula” and “employing curriculum in teaching”.
