Bu araştırma hemşirelerin yaşadıkları çatışmalarda kullandıkları çözüm yöntemleri ile duygusal zekâ arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı niteliktedir. Erzurum merkezdeki Kamu Hastaneleri Birliği hastanelerinde çalışan hemşireler araştırmanın evrenini, Ağustos 2013- Haziran 2015 tarihleri arasında Erzurum ilindeki merkez devlet hastanelerinde görev yapan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 574 hemşire ise örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında ‘‘Kişisel Bilgi Formu’’, ‘‘Rahim Örgütsel Çatışma Ölçeği II’’(RÖÇÖ) ve ‘‘Duygusal Zekâ Değerlendirme Ölçeği’’(DZDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik, ortalama, standart sapma ve pearson korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Hemşirelerin RÖÇÖ ortalamasının 101.08±13.26 yapılan sınıflandırmaya göre orta düzeyde olduğu, DZDÖ ait puan ortalamasının 124.66±33.79 düşük düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur. RÖÇÖ bütünleştirme alt boyutu ile DZDÖ alt boyutlarından duygularının farkında olma, kendini motive etme, empati ve toplam puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır(p<0.05). RÖÇÖ uzlaşma alt boyutu ile DZDÖ alt boyutlarında ve toplam puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır(p<0.05). RÖÇÖ kaçınma alt boyutu ile DZDÖ duyguların farkında olma alt boyutu puan ortalaması arasında istatistiksel olarak negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır(p<0.05). Hemşirelerin çatışma çözümleme yöntemlerinden bütünleştirme ve uzlaşma yöntemini üst düzeyde kullandıkları, uyma, hükmetme ve kaçınma yöntemlerini orta düzeyde kullandıkları saptanmıştır. Hemşirelerin duygularının farkında olma, duygularını kontrol etme, kendini motive etme, empati ve sosyal becerileri düşük düzeyde kullandıkları ve yaşamış oldukları kişilerarası çatışmalarda kullandıkları çözümleme yöntemleri ile duygusal zekâ arasında ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda hemşirelerin çatışma çözüm yöntemlerini ve duygusal zekâ düzeylerini geliştirmeleri amacıyla çalıştıkları kurumlarda hizmet içi eğitim programlarının düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir.
This research is aimed to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and resolution methods nurses used by nurses in their conflicts, and descriptive and relationship-seeking nature. Nurses working in Public Hospitals Union hospitals in the center of Erzurum composed the population of the study, and 574 nurses working in central state hospitals in Erzurum province between August 2013 and June 2015 and who agreed to participate in the study constituted the sample of the study. "Personal Information Form", "Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II" and "Emotional Intelligence Evaluation Scale" were used to collect data. Percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson correlation test were used to evaluate the data. It was found that ROCI-II mean of nurses (101.08±13.26)was at moderate level, and point mean belongs to EIES (124.66±33.79) was at a low level according to classification done. It was found that there was a statistically positive significant correlation between ROCI-II integration sub-dimension and sub-dimensions of EIES such as awareness of emotions, self-motivation, empathy, and total score averages (p <0.05). A statistically positive significant correlation was found between ROCI-II consensus sub-dimension and EIES sub-dimensions and total score averages (p <0.05). It was found that there was a statistically negative significant correlation between ROCI-II avoidance sub-dimension and mean score of EIES awareness of emotions sub-dimension (p <0.05). It has been determined that nurses use integration and reconciliation method, which are among the conflict resolution methods, at a high level, and they use compliance, domination and avoidance methods at a moderate level. It was determined that nurses' awareness of their emotions, controlling their emotions, self-motivation, empathy and social skills were used at a low level and analysis methods they used in interpersonal conflicts and emotional intelligence were found to be related. In line with these results; It is recommended that in-service training programs should be organized in institutions where nurses work in order to improve their conflict resolution methods and emotional intelligence levels.
