Abstract:

The study focused on identifying the current situation of transportation services offered by both the public and private sector in Turkey and the investigation of various influential and determining factors on the state of satisfaction of individuals with these services. The main objective of the study is to be able to support decision makers by offering solutions and policies to make optimal arrangements in this area. For this purpose, the data of the Life Satisfaction Survey (YMA), which was regularly conducted by TÜIK throughout Turkey, was used for 2013. The YMA 2013 is the most extensive research that makes it possible to make an evaluation that keeps its up-to-date from the year when the study is completed. The data obtained has been studied and the work has been continued by finding that the use of the Generalized Order Logit Models is appropriate. In the light of these data, "Thanks to Transport Services" was taken as a dependent variable and this satisfaction was achieved in proportion in individuals to the results of "the ageing, being educated and the vehicle ownership decreased", "the marriage, living in the urban area, being satisfied with health, being satisfied with income, being happy, being satisfied with transport services, being high prosperity and revenue".
