Araştırmanın amacı, derin yoksulluk içinde olan yetişkin bireylerin yoksullukla ilgili görüşlerini almak, mutluluk ve yaşam doyumu düzeylerini incelemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, İstanbul’da yaşayan ve geliri 1000-4300 TL arasında bulunan toplam 24 kişi oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak, “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Soru Formu”, “Mutluluk Ölçeği” ve “Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Yoksul bireylerin Soru Formuna verdikleri yanıtların nitel analizi betimsel analiz ile, ölçeklere verilen yanıtların nicel analizi yüzdelik ve frekans hesaplanması ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, derin yoksulluk içinde olan bireyler düşünce olarak: yiyecek, içecek, barınma ihtiyaçlarını, isteklerini ve diğer ihtiyaçlarını karşılayamadıklarını, istedikleri yaşamı yaşayamadıklarını; duygusal olarak: herşeye özenip, gıpta etiklerini, utanç, mahçupluk, kaygı, korku, endişe, öfke, kızgınlık, mutsuzluk, üzgün, huzursuz, sıkıntılı, değersiz, ezik, çaresiz, güvensiz hissettiklerini; psikolojik olarak çok kötü hissettiklerini “dibe battıklarını”, “kafayı sıyıracaklarını”, “delirmek üzere olduklarını”, “hep üzüntülü ve çökkün olduklarını”; eşleriyle ve çocuklarıyla olan ilişkilerinin bozulduğunu; arkadaşlarından ve akrabalarından uzaklaştıklarını; yoksulluğun berbat bir durum olduğunu; yoksulluğun azaltılması için iş imkanlarının artırılmasının, üretimin desteklenmesinin, zamların yapılmamasının ve iyi bir yönetimin olması gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. Katılımcıların mutluluk ve yaşam doyumu düzeyleri çok düşük çıkmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda elde edilen bulgular alan yazın çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.
The purpose of the study is to obtain the views of adults in deep poverty about poverty, to study the levels of happiness and life satisfaction. The study group consisted of a total of 24 people living in Istanbul and income ranging from 1000 to 4300 TL. As a data collection tool, "Personal Information Form", "Question Form", "Happiness Measure" and "Life Measure" were used. The qualitative analysis of the answers poor individuals to the Question Form is performed by visual analysis, the quantitative analysis of the answers to the measurements by percentage and frequency calculation. According to the study, people in deep poverty As a thought: They cannot meet their food, drinks, housing needs, desires and other needs, they cannot live the life they want; Emotionally by: They take care of everything, feel their ethics in anger, shame, disgrace, anxiety, fear, anxiety, anger, anger, unhappy, sad, unhappy, troubled, invaluable, disgrace, desperate, uncertain; Psychologically “They’re feeling very bad, ‘they’re throwing down’, ‘they’re going to throw the head’, ‘they’re going to be crazy’, ‘they’re all sad and collapsing’; Relationships with their spouses and children. that is broken; from friends and relatives. They are distant; Poverty is terrible It is a situation; Reduction of poverty They have said that the job opportunities should be increased, the production should be supported, the increase should not be made and a good management should be.The levels of happiness and satisfaction of the participants were very low.The findings obtained by the research were discussed in the framework of the summer.
The study aims to get the opinions about poverty of adults living in deep poverty and to explore their levels of happiness and life satisfaction. The study group consists of a total of 24 individuals living in Istanbul with a monthly income of 1000-4300 TL. The data collection instruments used include a “Personal Information Form”, a “Questionnaire”, the “Happiness Scale”,and the “Life Satisfaction Scale”. The responses of the poor individuals to the Questionnaire were qualitatively analyzed via descriptive analysis and their responses to the scales were quantitatively analyzed by percentage and frequency calculations. As a result of the study, the individuals living in deep poverty stated that they think they cannot afford their demands and needs for food and housing and cannot live the life they want; emotionally they envy and covet everythingand felt ashamed, embarrassed, anxious, afraid, worried, angry, furious, unhappy, sad, uneasy, distressed, worthless, overwhelmed, desperate, and insecure; psychologically they feel awful like “they hit the rock bottom”, “they are going out of their mind”, “they are about to go mad” and “they are always upset and depressed”; that they have grown away from their spouses and children and become distant to their friends and relatives; they believe that poverty is awful; and employment opportunities should be increased, manufacturing should be subsidized, no price increases should be made and a good government should be in power to reduce poverty. The participants were found to have extremely low levels of happiness and life satisfaction. The study results are discussed in the light of the literature.
