Abstract:

Introduction and Objective: Evaluation of the indication-specific content of the form formats of dental volumetric tomography (DVT) reports obtained from different faculty of dental medicine. Methods and Requirements: From often DVT prescribed indications, special report content forms have been created by listing the parameters in the DVT reports that must be written for bone-intestinal injury, embedded teeth, implant planning and endodontic pathologies, in the guidelines of aggregation articles and unit reports. 200 reports obtained from the Twenty-six Faculty of Dentistry were grouped for different indications and evaluated in terms of the existence/absence of parameters in format and content. The findings were evaluated by identificative statistical methods. 91% of the reports were in structured format. Demographic data (91,5%) and device characteristics (56,5%) were the most frequently parameters, while clinical findings were at 22.5% of the results. In the reports on bone-intestinal pathologies, the formal and dimensional characteristics of the injury were by 42% and 46% respectively. In the reports of buried teeth observed that the position of the teeth was recorded at 92% of it. In the reports prepared for implant planning, it was found that 64% of the relationships with vital tissues were written. In the reports prepared for endodontic pathologies, the ratings of root-canal morphology were observed at 20%. RELATED AND RESULTATED: The configured format is preferred in the writing of DVT reports. It was observed that the most insufficient reports in terms of information to be contained were prepared for endodontic pathologies. A review of the training program is recommended to standardize the parameters that must be found in the reports of different indications and to develop a common terminology.
