Introduction and Purpose: In pregnancy and breastfeeding, lack of exposure to sunlight and lack of vitamin D is a major health problem that causes lack of vitamin D levels in both mother’s milk and newborn baby. In our study, we aimed at researching the levels of vitamin D of nursing mothers and newborn babies, the relationship between the levels of serum vitamin D in mothers and the levels of vitamin D of newborn babies. Method and Requirements: 108 babies and mothers who were born at 37 and over the pregnancy week were included in the study. A survey form was created questioning the age of the mothers, their professions, whether they receive vitamin support during pregnancy, their daily milk and fish consumption, their clothing styles, and the periods of stay in the sun. Pregnancy mothers were taken in the pre-born saloon, and their babies were taken venous blood from the abdominal cord immediately after birth.
