Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğretmenlerinin ne tür etik ikilemler ile karşılaştıklarını keşfetmektir. Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgubilim deseninde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu belirlenirken amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitleme örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu, Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım, Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi, Fen Bilimleri, Görsel Sanatlar, İngilizce, Matematik, Müzik, Sosyal Bilgiler, Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık ve Türkçe öğretmenlerinden her alandan en az 1 öğretmen olacak şekilde Çanakkale merkez ilçede görev yapmakta olan toplam 15 ortaokul öğretmeninden oluşturmaktadır. Veriler yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşmeler aracılığı ile toplanmış ve içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda, ortaokul öğretmenlerinin yaşadıkları etik ikilemlerin 4 kategori altında toplandığı saptanmıştır: öğrenciyi koruma, adil değerlendirme, meslektaşı koruma ve veli müdahalesini dengeleme.
The aim of this study is to explore what kind of ethical doubts high school teachers encounter. The research is designed from the research patterns. To determine the study’s work group, the maximum variety of sampling methods were used from the purpose sampling methods. Working group, Information Technology and Software, Religious Culture and Ethical Knowledge, Sciences, Visual Arts, English, Mathematics, Music, Social Information, Guidelines and Psychological Consultancy and Turkish teachers consist of a total of 15 high school teachers who are working in the central district of Çanakkale in order to be at least 1 teacher from each field. The data was collected through semi-built conversations and subjected to content analysis. The study found that high school teachers were gathered in four categories of ethical doubts: protecting the student, fair assessment, protecting the colleagues, and balancing the guardian intervention.
This study aims to understand what kind of ethical dilemmas middle school teachers face with. The study was designed as phenomenological research which is one of the qualitative research designs. A maximum variation sampling technique was used to select the participants. Information Technologies and Software, Religion Culture and Ethics, Science, Visual Arts, English, Mathematics, Musical Arts, Social Sciences, Guidance, and Psychological Counseling, and Turkish teachers who work a middle school in Çanakkale province, a total of 15 teachers, participated to the study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The content analysis was used during the data analysis process. As a result of the study, it was found that the ethical dilemmas encountered by middle school teachers fall into four categories: protecting students, fair assessment and evaluation, protecting colleagues and balancing parental intervention.
