Abstract:

The post-Keynesian economy has been developed as an alternative economic approach to the Orthodox approach to the economy, which dominates today’s economic concept. The foundations of Post Keynesian economy are based on the views of John M. Keynes and Michal Kalecki. Post Keynesian economy continues to develop today as a heterodox economic school. In this way, Post Keynesian economy is present in literature as a specific positive thinking school with its appropriate methodological structure. The basic element of Post Keynesian economy is the principle of effective demand. According to the neo-classic economists, the main problem of the economy is how low resources will be distributed under the existing capacity, while according to the Post Keynesians, the main problem is how resources can be distributed rather than how they can be expanded and how demand deficiency can be eliminated. From this point of view, Post Keynesian economics are concerned with real economic problems in the historical time in a world where uncertainty. In this study, the Post Keynesian economy, which brings a new view of the economy compared to other economic schools, will be explained, focusing on how it approaches its development and the fundamental economic issues. As a result, this study shows that Post Keynesian economics takes its place in literature as a new perspective of economics with its appropriate approaches.
