Çalışmada, piyano eğitimi başlangıç düzeyinde kullanılan Jean Baptiste Duvernoy “Ecole primaire” (Elementary Studies), Op.176 etüt kitabının farklı kazanımlar açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel bir çalışma olan bu araştırmada, literatür tarama ile birlikte betimsel analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Kitapta yer alan 25 etüt; içerdiği tonalite, ölçü birimi, hız terimleri, sağ ve sol el teknik kazanımlar, müzikal ifadeler ve müzik öğretmenliği lisans programı kazanımları açısından incelenmiş, yapılan analiz sonucunda elde edilen veriler, yüzdelik dağılımları ile birlikte yedi kategoride sunulmuştur. Etütlerde en çok “Do Majör” tonu, 4/4’lük ölçü birimi kullanılmış, Allegro’dan daha yüksek tempoya sahip bir hız terimine yer verilmemiştir. Sağ elde legato, sol elde ise çift ses ve legatonun etütlerde en çok kullanılan teknikler olduğu saptanmıştır. Müzikal ifadeler açısından ise en çok crescendo nüansı kullanılmıştır. Etütlerin müzik öğretmenliği lisans programı kazanımlarına uygunluğu açısından bakıldığında, tüm etütlerde gürlük terimlerinin kullanıldığı, etütlerin, temel teknik kazanımları yüksek düzeyde sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, etütlerde; temel tonaliteler ve ölçü birimlerinin dışına çıkılmadığı, hız terimi olarak, başlangıç düzeyine uygun, yüksek tempo içermeyen terimlerin seçildiği, teknik açıdan her iki elde en temel ve başlangıç düzeyi için gerekli tekniklere yer verildiği, müzikal ifade olarak da yine en temel nüansların kullanıldığı ve etütlerin müzik öğretmenliği lisans programı kazanımlarına uygun olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
In the study, Jean Baptiste Duvernoy "Ecole primaire" (Elementary Studies), used at the initial level of piano education, aimed at studying the study book Op.176 in terms of different achievements. In this study, which is a qualitative study, literature scanning has been used with visual analysis methods. The 25 studies contained in the book; it contained tonality, measurement unit, speed terms, right and left hand technical achievements, musical expressions and music teaching bachelor's program achievements, the results of the analysis, with percentage distribution, were presented in seven categories. In the studies the most "Do Major" tone, the 4/4 measurement unit used, was not included in a speed term with a higher pace than Allegro. The right is the legato, the left is the double sound, and the legato is the most commonly used techniques in the studies. The music is the most used in the creation. With regard to the relevance of the studies to the achievements of the music teaching bachelor’s program, it has been determined that the terms of noise are used in all the studies, and that the studies provide the basic technical achievements at a high level. According to the findings obtained, the studies have achieved the conclusions that the basic tonalities and measurement units are not excepted, that the term speed is selected, that the term does not contain a high rate, that both are technically obtained and the necessary techniques for the starting level are included, that the musical expression is also the most basic nuances are used, and that the studies are in accordance with the achievements of the music teaching license program.
This study examines 25 etudes in the book of Jean Baptiste Duvernoy "Ecole Primaire" (Elementary Studies), Op.176, used at the beginner level piano education, in terms of tonality, measurement unit, speed terms, right and left-hand technical achievements, musical expressions, and music teaching undergraduate program achievements. In this qualitative study, descriptive analysis was employed with a literature review. In the etudes, "C Major" tone and 4/4 measurement unit were used most, and a speed term with a higher tempo than Allegro was not included. Legato in the right hand and double voice and legato in the left hand were mostly used. As musical expressions, crescendo nuance was used the most. As for music teaching undergraduate program achievements, the terms of loudness were used in all etudes, and basic technical achievements were provided at a high level. According the findings; basic tonalities and measurement units were not exceeded in the etudes, the terms suitable for the beginner level and not containing high tempo were chosen as the term of speed, the most basic and necessary techniques for both hands were included, the most basic nuances were used as a musical expression, and the etudes were suitable for the achievements of the music teaching undergraduate program.
