Georgius de Hungaria 1438-1458 yılları arasında savaş esiri olarak Anadolu’da bulundu. Anadolu’da geçirdiği yirmi yıllık gözlemlerini Tractatus de Moribus, Condictionibus et Nequicia Turcorum adlı kitabında toplamıştır. Kitabının sonunda Gotik harflerle Yunus Emre Dîvânında tespit edilemeyen iki manzume bulunmaktadır. İlk olarak 1901’de Karl Foy tarafından ilim âlemine tanıtılan şiirler sonraki yıllarda bazı Türkologlar tarafından yeniden ele alınmıştır. Buna rağmen şiirler hâlâ yeni bakış açılarıyla yorumlanmaya muhtaç görünmektedir. Bu yazıda ise sözü edilen şiirlerdeki bazı kelimelerin fonetik kodlarına dikkat çekilerek birkaç kelime için yeni okuma önerileri getirilmiştir.
