Abstract:

The results and success expected within the education system will be achieved by the high levels of professional self-sufficiency and low levels of occupational exhaustion perception of teachers. In this context, it will be an important step in determining the relationship between teachers' self-sufficiency beliefs and occupational exhaustion perceptions and improving qualification in education. The research aims to determine the levels of professional self-sufficiency faith and the perceptions of occupational exhaustion and to examine the relationship between secondary education teachers, depending on some variables. In this research, 1324 secondary education teachers in 23 secondary education institutions in İzmir province of Karabağlar were accepted as examples of the universe and 303 secondary educations from within the universe. The study uses the Scale of Self-Proficiency faith (OYİÖ) and Teacher Professional consumption Scale (ÖMTÖ) as a data collection tool. The study concluded that the levels of self-sufficiency belief of secondary education teachers are very high and differ depending on vocational seniority and branch variability. It has been concluded that the levels of occupational exhaustion perception of secondary education teachers are low and differ depending on gender, education level, vocational seniority and branch variables. The research concluded that secondary education teachers have a very high level of relationship between their professional self-sufficiency belief levels and their professional depletion perception levels, which are statistically significant, negatively oriented. Suggestions have been made based on these results.
