Mevlânâ Celaleddin Rumî’nin öğretileriyle şekillenen Mevlevilikte, yaratılan bütün varlıklar Cenab-ı Hakk’ın esma ve sıfatlarının tecellisidir. Kâinat, Yaratıcı’nın güzelliklerine ayinedârlık yapmaktadır. Her şey bir gayeye mebni olarak yaratılmış ve Yüce Yaratıcı’nın varlığına işaret eden bir ayettir. Âlemde bulunan canlı ve cansız bütün varlıklar bir bilince sahiptir. Onların şuurlu olması, insanı eşyaya karşı daha nahif davranmaya sevk eder. Mevlânâ, Allah’ın insanı bir avuç topraktan yarattığını, bizim cansız zannettiğimiz toprağın ne büyük bir canlılık barındırdığını hatırlatır. Mevlânâ’ya göre dağların, taşların görür gözleri, işitir kulakları vardır. Kâinatta her varlık şuuru sayesinde kendisine verilen görevi yerine getirir. Bu yaklaşım sebebiyle Mevleviler dokundukları, kullandıkları her eşyaya zarif davranırlar. Onlarla konuşurlar, teşekkürlerini sunarlar. Mevleviliğe has manevi eğitim sürecinde, sadece insana değil çevresindeki bütün varlıklara saygı ve özenle davranmak öğretilir. Bu saygılı tutum, tarikat adap ve erkânı aracılığıyla Mevlevilerin günlük yaşamlarının parçası hâline gelir. Onlar için Allah’a şükür, cümle yaratılmışlara teşekkür manası taşır. Evrendeki diğer varlıklara karşı nahif, hassas ve müteşekkir davranmak Mevleviliğin temel öğretilerindendir. Hz. Mevlânâ bu görüşlerini Kur’an-ı Kerim ve hadislere dayandırır. Mevlevilikte ideal insan tipinin özünü, çevreye ve evrene saygı oluşturmaktadır. Çevre sorunlarının gittikçe arttığı günümüzde Mevlevi öğretinin daha da önem kazandığı görülmektedir.
In Mawlawi sufi order, which is shaped by the teachings of Rumi, all creatures are the manifestation of the names and attributes of Allah. The universe performs rituals on the beauties of Creator. Everything was created for a purpose and is a verse pointing to the existence of the Supreme Creator. All living and non-living beings in the world have consciousness. Their consciousness prompts people to behave more naively towards things. Rumi reminds us that Allah created man from a handful of soil and the vitality of the soil which is presumably tought to be inanimate. According to Rumi, mountains and stones have eyes to see and ears to hear. Thanks to the consciousness of every existence in the universe, it fulfills the task assigned to it. Due to this approach, Mawlawis treat every item they touch and use elegantly. They talk to and they give thanks to them. In the spiritual education process unique to Mawlawiyya, it is taught to treat not only people but also all beings around them with respect and care. This respectful attitude becomes a part of the daily lives of the Mawlawis through the sect's customs and traditions. For them, thanks to Allah, the sentence means thanking the created ones. Being naive, sensitive, and grateful towards other beings in the universe is one of the basic teachings of Mawlawi sufi order. Rumi bases these views on the Qur'an and hadiths. The essence of the ideal human being in Mawlawi sufi order is the respect for the ecology and the universe. It is the case that Mawlawiyya teaching is gaining importance as the ecological problems increase each day.
