Araştırmada, Türkiye’ deki Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde (BİLSEM) görev yapan öğretmenlerin düşünme stillerinin incelenmesi, en az ve en çok hangi düşünme stillerini seçtiklerinin/tercih ettiklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, BİLSEM öğretmenlerinin yöneldikleri/tercih ettikleri düşünme stillerinin; branş, mesleki kıdem, cinsiyet, yaş ve eğitim düzeyleri vb. değişkenlere göre istatistiksel olarak nasıl farklılık gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktır . Araştırma kapsamında BİLSEM’ lerde çalışan farklı branşlardan toplam 240 (kadın134, erkek 106) öğretmene ulaşılmıştır. Bu araştırmada, BİLSEM’ deki öğretmenlerin düşünme stillerini belirleyebilmek için, Sternberg ve Wagner (1992) tarafından geliştirlen, Buluş (2006) tarafından Türkçe’ ye uyarlanan “Düşünme Stilleri Envanteri” ile katılımcıların demografik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla araştırmanın kapsamına uygun olan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. BİLSEM öğretmenlerinin düşünme stillerindeki değişiklikleri tespit edebilmek amacıyla t-testi ve (ANOVA) tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, BİLSEM öğretmenlerinin en çok tercih ettikleri düşünme stilleri; Yargısal (x̄ = 28, 72), Yasama (x̄ = 28, 44) ve Liberal/Yenilikçi (x̄ = 28.00) düşünme stilleri olurken en az tercih ettikleri düşünme stillerinin ise, Muhafazakar (x̄ = 14,91) ve Global (x̄ = 17,45) düşünme stilleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bu farlılıklar tartışılmış ve alana yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
The study aims to study the thinking styles of teachers working in the Science and Art Centers in Turkey (BILSEM) to determine which thinking styles they have chosen / preferred at least. However, the thinking styles that BILSEM teachers are oriented/prefered; branch, professional background, gender, age and educational levels, etc. It shows how statistically the variables differ. In the framework of the research, a total of 240 (women134, men106) teachers from different branches working in the BILSEM were reached. In this study, in order to determine the thinking styles of teachers in BILSEM, Sternberg and Wagner (1992) developed, the "Personal Information Form" used in accordance with the scope of the research in order to determine the demographic characteristics of participants with the "Thinking Styles Inventory" adapted to Turkish by Invention (2006). To identify the changes in teachers’ thinking styles, t-test and (ANOVA) one-way variance analysis have been used. According to the study, the teachers of BILSEM prefer the thinking styles; Judgmental (x̄ = 28, 72), Legislative (x̄ = 28, 44) and Liberal/Innovative (x̄ = 28. 00) The less preferred thinking styles are Conservative (x̄ = 14,91) and Global (x̄ = 17,45) thinking styles. These differences resulting from the research have been discussed and recommendations for the area have been presented.
