In this study, a pilot study was conducted to investigate the impact of the measurement and evaluation course structured according to Dale's life subject on student academic success. A total of 63 students consisting of a experiment and a control group were included in the study and group choices were carried out according to the group analysis. The equality of the experimental and control group in experimental studies is an important requirement. But since the study has been studied the external variable effect, the known group technique has been used. Students’ success scores in the study group were used in the assignment of experiment and control groups. Students successfully and failed according to the aggregate analysis were analyzed before and after the experimental study. At the end of the study, the preliminary test points of the experiment and control groups significantly differentiated in favour of the experimental group (the group of successful students) This pilot study resulted in the possibility of the planned experimental study to be done based on the difference between the group's score average, but it can be said that a more detailed planning is needed because there is no significant difference in terms of the estest points. It is recommended that the group technique known as the result of the research be used as a pilot study before experimental studies.
