Abstract:

After the Cold War, a rapid transition from the two-pole structure to the single-pole structure in the international relations system was witnessed. The hegemon power of the single-pole structure was the United States in the political sense. Against this one-pole structure, Russia and China have entered a process of approximation and cooperation that puts multilateralism in the forefront. In addition to this political approximation, the economic relations between the two countries have also developed. Russia’s desire to diversify the energy market and China’s energy supply has led to the intensification of relations in the energy field of the two countries. As a result of China’s sanctions, the return of its face to Russia in the imports of weapons resulted in the expansion of bilateral relations to cover the military area as well. However, the presence of suspicious approaches to China in Russia prevents further deepening the relations between the two countries. Keywords: Russia, China, energy, security, identity
