Abstract:

The rapid change with globalization has made it necessary for individuals to adapt to the new situations. Therefore, the capacity of innovation is an important tool for the individual to be able to separate from the competitors in the work or learning life and to stand out in competition. This study is aimed at developing recommendations for the development of their innovative skills by determining the individual innovation capabilities of students who receive university education. In this framework, 312 university students have been studied with their individual innovation capacity, self-confidence and risk-taking levels and demographic characteristics. According to the results of the study, there was a significant difference between the size of their students’ gender and the size of their individual innovation scale, meaning that men’s self-confidence, innovation and risk-taking scores were relatively slightly higher compared to women. According to another conclusion, there was no significant difference between the levels of self-confidence, innovation and risk-taking in comparison with the classes that students studied, but the levels of self-confidence, innovation and risk-taking were relatively higher in the first year they arrived at the university.
