Abstract:

Twitching that occurs in various organs of the body is involuntary contraction movements under the skin and sometimes on the skin, giving a feeling of being touched. The cause of twitching has not been clarified, even in today's modern medical world. This mysterious situation, caused by some energies from inside or outside the body, was perceived as a kind of fortune-telling and prophecy containing a sign about the fate of the person in pre-modern times. Segir-name/ihtilac-name, on the other hand, are books that convey all the data about twitching and information about what kind of meaning a twitching organ has. Segir-names, written in verse and prose, are among the classical period literature products. In this article, the work named "Segir-name", which is registered in Bursa Inebey Manuscript Library 16 Or 544/1 number, which is discussed. In the work, which has the charecteristics of Old Anatolian Turkish, 41 (forty-one) limbs are mentioned, while 112 (one hundred and twelve) twitches are included. Negative or positive interpretations of the twitches of these limbs have been explained. In our study, the word meaning of teğir-nâme/ihtilâc-nâme will be emphasized and a brief evaluation will be made. Then, the work we are working on will be introduced and examined, the content and language features of the work will be evaluated, the transcription of the text will be given. Finally the original text will be added to the study.
