Abstract:

Prof. Dr. Fuad Sezgin has managed to show both Muslims and non-Muslims the contributions that the Islamic world has made to science. With this, Fuad Sezgin reminds the Western world that the Islamic world exists on the basis of its present developments, and in the Muslim world, which is a civilization stagnation, it has created a resuscitation and excitement effect. Fuad Sezgin, one of the greatest scientists of Islamic scientific history in recent periods, has led the opening of many scientific institutions and the authentication and printing of hundreds of scientific works of different values. His own work (GAS Geschichte des Arabischen Schrifttums) is considered to be the most comprehensive work ever written in the field of biography-catalogue-bibliography in the Islamic world. In this article, Fuad Sezgin’s work was introduced and discussed the criticism and additions brought to him.
