Abstract:

Since the information on religious issues was taken from Prophet Muhammad at the time of revelation, there was generally no need to question this information. However, reaching this information employing narration and transmission in the following periods necessitated the research of the information and practical value of the transmitted news. The knowledge and practical value of the al-khabar al-wāḥid, which is accepted as news that has yet to reach the level of tawātur, has been the subject of debate. Our study, which aims to deal with this term, used and discussed in common among the sciences of fiqh, ḥadīth, and kalām, has a unique quality in this respect. Discussing the al-khabar al-wāḥid mainly based on its evidential value has led to the determination of the views and attitudes of the sects on this issue, especially the studies carried out in the field of fiqh. From this point of view, the present study aims to deal with the al-khabar al-wāḥid approach, particularly for commentators from different sects who have come to the fore with their sectarian identity. The effort to evaluate the problem of whether the interpretation of the Qurʾān is an ideal tafsīr style in the example of al-Khabar al-Wahid, which has brought us by the interpretation of the Qurʾān based on the approach of the sect to which each commentator belongs, contributes to the importance of study.
