Diş hekimliği alanındaki akreditasyon çalışmaları hem genel olarak dünyada hem de Türkiye’de hastane akredi-tasyonuna göre göreceli olarak daha yenidir. Diş hekimliğinde kalite sistemlerinde kullanılmak üzere performans ölçütlerini geliştirmek, test etmek ve uygulamak çok çeşitli zorluklar taşır. Diş hekimliği hizmeti veren tüm kurum-larda (Diş Hekimliği Fakülteleri, Ağız Diş Sağlığı Merkezleri ve özel kuruluşlar) bu konudaki farkındalığı arttırmak ve hizmet kalitesini arttırmak öncelikli strateji haline gelmelidir.

Abstract:

Accreditation studies in the field of dentistry are relatively new compared to hospital accreditation in both the world in general and in Turkey. The development, testing and implementation of performance standards for use in quality systems in dentistry carries a wide variety of challenges. In all the institutions that provide dental services (Dental Faculty, Oral Dental Health Centers and private organizations) it should become a priority strategy to raise awareness and improve the quality of the service.
