Türkiye’nin siyasi, ekonomik, kültürel, sosyal gibi birçok toplumsal sorunlarının çözümünde ve ülkemizin değerlerinin korunmasında sivil toplum kuruluşları büyük bir önem arz etmektedir. Dünya genelinde, özellikle de demokratikleşme sürecindeki ülkelerde sivil toplum kuruluşları önemli roller oynamıştır. Sivil toplumun ülkemizde de gerek siyasal alanın denetlemesinde gerekse karar alıcılara ve kurumlara yol göstermede benzer bir görevi üstlenebilmesi için her türlü destek verilmelidir. Türkiye’de de özellikle siyasetin denetlenmesi açısından da sivil toplum kuruluşları önemli bir denetim aracı olarak yaygınlaşmıştır. Bu çalışmada, bir yandan önemi giderek artan STK’lara ilişkin temel bazı bilgilere yer verilirken, bir yandan da ülkemizde faaliyet gösteren genel merkezi Ankara’da bulunan Ülkü Ocakları Eğitim ve Kültür Vakfı yöneticileriyle yüz yüze görüşmelere dayalı olarak, bu vakfın yaptığı tarihsel, kültürel, siyasal ve sosyal projelerle ilgili çalışmalar analiz edilmiş, yurt dışı temsilciliklerindeki faaliyetleri ve ülkemiz gençleri açısından öneminin üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca Türk gençliğinin zararlı alışkanlıklara düşmemesi için yapılan sosyal politikayı da içeren bazı konulara ait görüşler ve beklentilerde tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
Civil society organizations are of great importance in the solution of many social problems of Turkey, such as political, economic, cultural, and social, and in the preservation of the values of our country. Worldwide, especially in countries in the process of democratization, civil society organizations have played important roles. Civil society in our country should be supported in order to be able to take a similar role in guiding the decision makers and institutions, whether necessary in the supervision of the political area. In Turkey, especially in terms of policy monitoring, civil society organizations have become an important instrument of monitoring. In this study, on the one hand, the importance is included some basic information about the increasing NGOs, on the one hand, on the basis of face-to-face conversations with the managers of the National Education and Culture Foundation, which is located in Ankara, on the one hand, the research on the historical, cultural, political and social projects made by this foundation has been analyzed, the activities in foreign representations and the importance of the youth of our country. It has also been attempted to identify views and expectations on some issues, including the social policy made to prevent the Turkish youth from falling into harmful habits.
