The extent to which the media is influenced by the media messages that children, the most innocent consumers of the media, are exposed, is among the main areas of interest of communication studies. Despite the availability of television content addressing children, the fact that children can also access media content addressing adults causes this situation to be addressed more in the framework of concern. Adult content can be quite dangerous for children who accept the images they watch without being questioned without passing through the reality spacecraft. This study aims to reveal the disturbances in the child’s minds of the COVID-19 epidemic process, which soon affected the entire world by the end of 2019 in China’s city of Wuhan and caused the declaration of a global epidemic on 11 March 2020. In the study, using the painting technique, the COVID-19 news was identified in the perceptive worlds of children, and 112 children between the ages of 6 and 9 were drawn a "COVID-19" theme picture. The pictures of the children were analyzed in the framework of the topics that came in front. The most important result of the study is that the majority of the 112 children (110) photographs were shaped around negative themes. Furthermore, 39.2% of children have seen the virus being the most obvious element, while play and social life desire are among the top topics. Another important outcome in the study is that some topics that come in the forefront differ according to the gender of children.
