Kırgız Türkçesi, karakteristik özellikleri olan bir lehçe olmakla birlikte komşuları olan diğer Türk topluluklarının dilleri yani Kazak, Özbek ve Uygur Türkçeleriyle ortaklaşan noktaları bulunmaktadır. Kırgız Türkçesindeki bir çok ek, genel olarak bu komşu Türkçelerle ortak olup aralarında daha ziyade şekil farklılığı görülür. Elbette Kırgız Türkçesini özgünleştiren bir takım yapılar da vardır. Bunlar arasında -a elek, -çu, -maksan, ele, bolçu vb. sayılabilir. Bu makalede bunlardan -a elek ele alınarak, bu yapının menşei ve fonksiyonları üzerinde durulacaktır
