In Azerbaijani literature, historical issues have always been important. Our poets have tried to reflect some of today's problems at the same time based on our past. We are talking about national values, historical teaching lessons, historical heroes, great works they do, traces of important historical events left in the fate of the people. It was impossible to write the truth on the old history of Azerbaijan, since the ban on the south was partially removed. The political poetry, expanding its horizons with the liberation of the "southern" issue, has begun to become more and more enriched. The intense spiritual - moral, psychological - genetic connection between the national - historical memory and the realities of today has opened horizons in front of poetry. Especially since the second half of the 80's, objections to our history and the determination of the people to know their history with full realities constituted the main motifs of political poetry. Purpose of the study, on the issue of the fragmentation of Azerbaijan, one of the important political issues, to South and North Azerbaijan II. It was an important issue for our writers and poets when the ban after World War II was lifted. This step gave the Soviet regime the opportunity to bring the issue of "fragmented Azerbaijan" to the agenda, even though it is related to the political stance against the Eastern countries, especially Iran. As a result, unlike poems in the 30s and 40s of the last century, in poems written in the 70s and 90s, the transformation of this subject into an external influence depends on the strengthening of the feeling of return to the national self in our literature. All this shows that in the contemporary political poetry, the writing and publishing of poems in national-spiritual matters plays an important role in revealing the true history of the people.
