The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between social self-efficacy and state-trait anger expression styles. The sample of this study was composed from 354 university students (195 female, 159 male). The data were obtained by Social Selfefficacy Scale developed by Smith-Betz (2000) and adapted Turkish by Palancı (2002), and State-Trait Anger Expression Scale developed by Spielberger, at all. (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Özer (1994). The results of the analyses indicated that, while social selfefficacy negatively correlated with trait anger, and anger-in; and it was positively correlated with anger control. Anger-out wasn’t significantly correlated with social self-efficacy. Students’ trait anger, anger-in, and anger control differs according to social self-efficacy levels (low, moderate, high). But, anger-out didn’t differ according to social self-efficacy levels. Another words, students who scored low in social self-efficacy scale, also scored high in trait anger and anger-in than students who scored moderate and high in social selfefficacy scale. Additionally, students who scored high in social self-efficacy scale also scored in anger control than students who scored low in social self-efficacy scale.
